My lost cat
I lost my other best friend, she was a cat named Flip. She slid out of the house and hasn't been found. My mom has put up fliers around the town. Someone said "They had saw Flip up around a water tower. How many of you have lost a pet? I can't do anything. I hope they can find her.

Oh no, Aubree, I'm very sorry to hear this. There's nothing worse than not knowing where your pet is. Yes, I've lost a cat, but found him back days later. He was only a block away, too scared to come out from under a car. He, too, was a house cat, and the outside world was just too big for him. I found him because of an ad I put in the newspaper; an elderly lady phoned me saying he meowed more loudly when she called him by name. Don't lose hope; cats will most often return home if they are able. I had a friend whose cat fell asleep in a truck and was driven very far away from home. Tao, a Siamese, found his way home two months later, hungry and weak; a vitamin shot from the vet, some good food, and lots of love brought him back to his pampered self again. I'm praying that Flip comes back to you. Please keep us posted.
My best friend in the whole world for about 15 years was my cat, Abby. She was at the end of her life and had never been outside the house. One day two years ago, one of us left the back door open and she got out. I put up fliers everywhere. I called every vet in my area and asked if anyone had found her and called in. I walked the neighborhood for three days looking for her and calling. Those were some of the worst days of my life. It makes me cry as I write this, just thinking about it.
But on the third day, I got a call from one of the vets I'd called. Someone had found Abby and called them to see if anyone was looking for a Calico Persian. It turned out she'd been hiding under a truck TWO DOOR DOWN from me the whole time. I didn't even hang up the phone, but went running down the street screaming for her. It was a beautiful reunion.
She died a few weeks later, of old age. I was always grateful that I had that last time with her.
My best friend, Brian, recently lost his cat. He was gone for three days in the middle of a horrible storm. Brian put food out for him, posted notices, called vets...and one day he opened his back door and there he was, cool as you please, eating his food. So keep your hopes up!! Cats are resourceful and very smart. Your kitty will probably find his way back too!
Hi Aubree,
This is Mom. I haven't seen or heard any more about Flip. I went up to the water tower three days in a row and called for her, talked to people walking their dogs and asked them to keep an eye out for her, and have been watching for her every day as I drive over the hill to work. I hope she comes home, sugar! I have heard many people tell stories of lost cats making it home. I even had a cat come 65 miles in two days, just in time to get in the moving van and move out of Colorado! I'll keep you posted :D I love you!
Hi Aubree,
Its great to see you have a place to talk about the stuff that is important to you. I will look forward to hearing what you have to say:) Flip, as I recall, was a pretty lucky cat for just having 3 legs! No doubt where ever she is she will be taken care of because she was such a loveable cat. I was very happy for you when Wendy was able to make the move to Oklahoma with you:) Glad to hear that you are having loads of fun with her.
Just a little note, Aunt V is going to bring your birthday present from me. She is wrapping it for me, so it will be a surprise for you:) Hopefully tho, I will be talking to you on the phone before then. Love ya and miss ya.
